ADHD and LD Students - Guest Speaker Les Redick - St. John Paul II

The St. John Paull II school council is utilizing our ASCE funding to bring in a guest speaker discussing the topic of ADHD and LD students. They have graciously extended the invitation to our parent community as well. The presentation will be Tues Nov 28 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm at St. John Paul II.

The presentation will lead parents through a discussion of how ADHD presents itself from early elementary school through to adulthood. Parents are shown what ADHD looks like at home and how it may look different at school. Parents are given strategies on how to manage ADHD at home and how to support teachers in the classroom. As a parent of a severe ADHD child Les will speak to topics like: Time Blindness, Poor Social Skills, Emotional Outbursts, Homework Issues, Poor Problem Solving/Time Management, Drug Use and Medications.
